How to Use the Project Module to Manage Multiple Projects #
If you are working on multiple projects at the same time, you might find it hard to keep track of everything. That’s why we have created the project module, a useful feature that helps you manage your projects more efficiently.
The project module allows you to create tasks, categories and reports for each project. You can also see the status and details of all your projects on the dashboard. You can also share your projects with other users and collaborate with them.
We will show you how to use the project module and its features. Let’s get started!
Creating a Project #
To create a new project, click on the new project menu. You will see a form where you can enter the name, description, customer name, status, lead, start date, end date and category of your project. You can also assign a color and an icon to your project for easy identification.
After filling out the form, click on the Save button. Your project will be created and added to the project list.
## Viewing and Editing a Project #
To view and edit a project, click the Action button on the right top of every project name. You will see a page where you can see the details of your project, such as tasks, activities, Documents & Notes, Invoices, progress, etc…
You can also edit your project details by clicking on the edit icon. You can change the name, description, start date, end date, budget, color and icon of your project. You can also delete your project by clicking on the delete icon.
## Change the Project View #
To change the way you view your projects, in the project dashboard you can view the icon . You can choose between two options: list view or kanban board view.
The list view shows you all your projects in table format. You can see the name, status, progress, start date, end date and budget of each project. You can also sort and filter your projects by these criteria.
The Kanban board view shows you all your projects in a card format. You can see the name, status, progress and color of each project. You can also drag and drop your projects to change their status.
## Sharing a Project #
To share a project with other users, While Creating the project or edit project and you can add or remove users
You can also see who is involved in each project by looking at the user icons on the dashboard or on the project page. The user icons show you who has access to the project and who is working on it.
## Creating Tasks, Categories and Reports #
To create tasks, categories and reports for your project, go to the task menu, category menu or report menu respectively. You will see a form where you can enter the details of your task, category or report.
Tasks are the activities that you need to do to complete your project. You can assign tasks to yourself or other users, set the task Subject and description , etc.. and once you create you can change the status once mark them as completed when they are finished.
